Microsoft already has project xcloud beta running for Android and IOS smartphones. Now its time to have a look at Project xCloud PC. The company started testing the service on Windows PC last week and this is how it looks like.
Last week, Microsoft gave access to the project xCloud to all its employees. Initially, the application has few titles to play, but soon more and more games will be added to the list a source from Microsoft said according to The Verge.
He also informed us that currently, the games are running only at 720p resolution. This is because probably the company wants to ensure stability, low latency, and good graphical performance. Soon 1080p will also be available he added.
The interface of the app looks similar to the smartphone version. We do not know if the company decided on the same interface just for the internal testing and for public beta they will redesign it or they want it to be similar to the smartphone version.
Looking at the poor interface of Geforce now and not being able to access the full library, we expect one thing from xCloud, no matter what interface they choose for the final product, it should at least have a full game library with the game thumbnail.
When xCloud for PC will be launched?
There is no date confirmed for the beta or the official launch yet, but seeing the Microsoft employees having access to it, the day is not far when we will hear the official or beta announcement for people.
