If you remember, in 2018 Xiaomi launched a smartphone called POCO F1. Since then this phone became super famous for its flagship specifications at sub $300 price. This phone came with Snapdragon 845 which was is still a hit.
After the huge success of POCO F1, Xiaomi announced that they will be launching more POCO phones soon in the future. However, the company kept silent until today. Finally Xiaomi India Ceo Many Jain have announced today that POCO is now an independent brand. It will be still working under Xiaomi but as an Independent company.
Manu did not give any sign about the upcoming product from POCO but we are sure that something is cooking and ready to be served soon. Some time ago a trademark filling was leaked on the name of POCO F2.
Last year we saw Xiaomi K20 pro which was speculated to be the POCO F2 but there were no official confirmations about it so it made its name as K20 pro only. It was also the best example of a flagship killer as it had a high-end processor along with a pop-up selfie camera.
The price of this phone was also around $300 which made it another champian in the best value segment. But, after the POCO F2 trademark leaks, the POCO community is again full of hopes and looking forward to the next-gen POCO device.
Next Plans of POCO? Is POCO F2 coming soon?
It will be interesting to see if the company will follow the footsteps of POCO’s real flagship killer Idea or this category will be continued by the K series of Xiaomi.
POCO might come up with POCO F2 at MWC. The biggest excitement among fans is whether the phone will have 5G compatibility or not and if yes, will it come in the same $300 range?
